Held at Coolabunia on Thursday, the sale achieved an 100 per cent clearance, selling all 36 bulls for an average of $9167.
It was a record sale for the Coolabunia Charolais group who saw the average lift by $3600 on last year.
Charnelle President (AI) (ET) (P/S) created a bidding frenzy before being knocked down to Jen, Rodney and Lindsay Blanch, Silverwood Charolais, Nanango, for the top money.
At 29-months-old, the sire prospect tipped the scales at 1100 kilograms with an eye muscle are of 147 square centimetres, P8 and rib fat measurements of 13mm and 10mm respectively, intramuscular fat of 4.8pc. and a 42cm scrotal circumference.
Taking out third place in the European section of ACM's recent Sire Shootout, President is ranked in the top 10pc for 200 and 400 day growth and carcase weight.
Charnelle Charolais principal Graham Blanch said it was a very pleasing result after a very tough season.
"To breed some of the best bulls we have ever produced after 28 years, was very rewarding," he said.
"We have travelled to countries like France and Canada in recent years to source new poll genetics to enhance our breeding program, and our two top-selling bulls this year (lots 1 and 2) are progeny of two of these imports.
"CML Distinction, who we bought the Australian semen rights to in 2016, the sire of Charnelle President, was the sire of our top selling bull last year, and was also the sire of our highest ever selling female in March this year."
Bettafield Charolais paid $13,000 to secure lot 2 - the 22-month-old homozygous polled Charnelle Pay Day.
Weighing 920kg, Pay Day had an EMA of 142sq cm, P8 and rib fat of 9mm and 6mm, IMF of 4.8pc, and a scrotal measurement of 41cm.
They also secured Charnelle Phoenix for $11,000 - a 30-month-old homozygous polled bull weighing 960kg, with a 140sq cm EMA, 5.2pc IMF and 41cm scrotal.
Charnelle Charolais saw the continued support of Shaun Flannagan, Queensland Rural, Charters Towers, who has been purchasing females at the Charnelle Female sale for the past three years.
The females have done so well at Charters Towers, that he purchased three bulls for himself and other client on Thursday, including Charnelle Quincy, an 18-month-old polled red factor bull for $12,000.
It was a solid sale for all vendors at the sale with Diamond L Charolais offering four bulls to average $10,750, Charnelle Charolais selling 11 bulls to average $9545, River Run selling 13 bulls to average $9230 and Silverwood Charolais selling seven bulls to average $7643.

The second-top price of the sale was achieved when Harold and Pam Dwyer, Dwyer Grazing, purchased Diamond L Proston (P/S) (R/F) for $13,500.
At only 19 months of age, the bull weighed 800kg with an EMA of 133sq cm, IMF of 4.3pc and 39.5cm scrotal.
The Dwyers are repeat buyers of Greg and Tracey Lee, Diamond L Charolais and Charbrays, and said they have had a lot of success in the past with the Diamond L bulls.
Mrs Dwyer said using the Diamond L genetics, they had great success at the 5th Annual Charbray and Charbray infused prime and store cattle show and sale at Monto, including winning the heifers and steers 10 to 18 months class and the champion male.
The Dwyers run about 3000 Brahman-based breeders and like using the red factor Charolais to help lift their carcase results.
Aussie Land & Livestock agent James Bredhauer said there were a lot of repeat buyers in attendance.
"The quality bulls on offer paid dividends to the vendors with their best sale ever," he said.
"There were a lot of studs buying this year and this helped increase the average along with a very strong cattle market throughout Australia."
Bulls sold through the Brisbane Valley, Biggenden, Boonah, Millmerran, Dalby and Roma, Emerald and Charters Towers.
